Yo, what up fam? So check it, there’s been some wild sh*t goin’ down in Greece. Apparently, a whole herd of sheep got mad blazed and raided a medical cannabis greenhouse. Straight up, these sheep couldn’t resist the temptation of that sticky icky and ended up devouring at least 600 pounds of pot. Dayum!
Now, I don’t know about you, but I didn’t even know sheep could get down like that. But apparently, this ain’t the first time these animals have gone crazy for that green. Sheep all over Europe have been known to be attracted to cannabis, and it turns them into some straight-up troublemakers. They start actin’ all weird and sh*t, jumpin’ around like they’re on cloud nine.
One farmer who witnessed this madness said those sheep were on a whole other level. They were high as a kite and jumpin’ higher than goats! And we all know goats can jump like nobody’s business. So you know these sheep were feelin’ good.
Now, normally sheep just stick to munchin’ on grass and wildflowers, but apparently, cannabis is their new favorite snack. They just can’t resist the temptation. I mean, I get it. We all love our greens, right?
But let’s talk about how this all went down. It was after Storm Daniel wreaked havoc in Greece that these sheep found themselves displaced and lookin’ for some shelter. And boy, did they hit the jackpot when they stumbled upon that greenhouse full of medical marijuana. Talk about luck!
The owner of the farm where this all went down couldn’t help but find the whole situation hilarious. Can you blame him? It’s not every day you see a bunch of stoned sheep goin’ ham on some weed. I bet those sheep were havin’ the time of their lives.
But let’s not forget that this storm caused some serious damage. The Thessaly region was flooded, and over a hundred thousand animals lost their lives. It’s a tragedy, really. And on top of that, the flooding destroyed a ton of farmland and livestock units. It’s a real blow to the whole country.
And here’s the kicker: turns out, cannabis isn’t just attractive to sheep. Pretty much all animals have what’s called an endocannabinoid system, including tiny creatures like hydra. So yeah, even the little guys are feelin’ the effects of that good stuff. That’s why they don’t recommend givin’ THC to smaller pets. It might be too much for ’em to handle.
Now, let’s talk about medical cannabis in Greece. Just earlier this year, they opened their first-ever production plant for medical marijuana. This is big news, my friends. Tikun Europe, a subsidiary of Tikun Olam from Israel, invested a cool €40 million into Greek operations. That’s a whole lot of green!
But with new medical cannabis laws come new responsibilities. Like, who would’ve thought that livestock would start sneakin’ into these greenhouses? In 2014, some sheep in Surrey in the UK ate £4,000 worth of pot. And in 2016, stoned sheep in Wales went on a rampage after eatin’ leftover plants from an illegal cannabis factory dump.
So it looks like these sheep can’t resist the temptation, and who can blame ’em? I mean, if I stumbled upon a stash like that, I’d probably help myself too. But hey, let’s hope they find a way to keep those sheep away from the weed and maybe find ’em some proper munchies instead.
And that’s the scoop on these blazed-out sheep in Greece. They’re just tryna have a good time and enjoy life, you know? Can’t hate on ’em for that. Stay tuned for more wild stories from the streets, fam. Peace!
