You get never-before-seen footage of the monster under the bed.

Normally, she hides out under my bed, waiting for unsuspecting piggie toes to pounce on. I’m not sure I want to know what she is contemplating just now.
You learn just how patient the dog is.

You see ceilings in a whole new light. And realize it is about time to clean it.

You get to see first-hand . . . well, I’m not actually sure what you get to see first-hand. But from the number of these on the card, I’m sure it must be important.

And finally, you get to see yourself through the eyes of your child.

Scary, isn’t it?

I homeschool my children on a small hobby farm in rural Nebraska and write about life more abundantly, from the joy of a baby's smile to the almost unbearable grief of losing a son while seeking beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, a garment of praise instead of the spirit of despair (Isaiah 61:3)

I love it. It’s always interesting to discover what a child views as interesting and important.

That’s one thing I love about digital cameras. You can let them explore with the camera once in awhile, they can take the gazillion photos they want and you aren’t out a dozen rolls of film.

We let our kids do that once… I got a whole new perspective on our toilet bowl.

Yes, the toilet bowl. Normally, he goes for the ceiling fan and out of focus corners of chairs. But the toilet bowl does seem to be a fascinating subject.

These are great. I have an entire section of our hard drive set aside for my sons’ photos.
Love to see things from the kid’s perspective!

I always enjoy the little surprises when I upload photos. Normally I know when they’ve used the camera, but not always.

It is so reassuring that other moms have those moments when one begins to wonder, who’s funnier, the one behind the lense or the one in front of it. My camera has so many pictures that I’m not quite sure who took them and my computer has movies that the kids have made of their numerous faces twisted with some sort of image distorter (not sure where it is that they have found it as I still cannot figure it out…
) and then there are the movies with the movie camera of one of them running through the house acting as if he was a fly. As one put it, little surprises. Thanks for sharing the delightful humor of your beautiful family.
haha! we have surprise video footage of lego creations and kapla block towers. and lots of pictures of the ceiling. fun, isn’t it?

Adorable pictures! My girls are a bit older so all the pictures tend to be funny faces of themselves, unabashed shots up their noses or close ups of tonsils. Also many many shots of dogs sleeping upside down like people, feet in the air.
Digital cameras are the greatest invention. We can take as many pics as we want, save or delete and start all over again! Love them!
