Well, I’m attending my very first writer’s conference this weekend and have decided to step outside myself a bit and participate in the public readings this evening. The only problem is, I need something to read.
That’s where I need your help. I’m going to bring along one of my blog entries because, well, that’s all I have at the moment. But which one to bring? These are the ones I’m considering at the moment:
In which my husband tries to burn down the county
Late night visitors, or attack of the coyotes
In which I beat off a coyote with a box of Rice Chex
Which one would you suggest? Or can you think of another that might be appropriate?
Oh, and, uh, what do you wear to these things?
Thanks!

Welcome to Roscommon Acres, my little home in the country. I write here about life more abundantly, from the joy of a baby’s smile to the almost unbearable grief of losing a son. I am seeking beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, a garment of praise instead of the spirit of despair (Isaiah 61:3).

Just place "Tiggy" in the subject line.

Dana,
Any of those three would be great! I personally like In which I beat off a coyote with a box of Rice Chex the best… the suspense is great; the writing brilliant. But whichever you choose, the audience will be captivated
My favorite is “In which my husband tries to burn down the county” I think you would be save some with nice slacks and a blouse.

Oh, hands down it has to be beating off a coyote with a box of Rice Chex.
That was a brilliant post. Not that the others weren’t good, but with that one you really had me on the edge of my seat and then laughing out loud at the end.
Audiences love that.
You’ll do great though no matter what article you choose.

I’m too late to vote, but my favorite is also the coyote one. Great suspense and humor!

Well, thank you all and I guess it is good that I chose In which I fight off a coyote with a box of Rice Chex.
It went well, but I’ll likely write more about that later.
