Plans for the weekend include clearing a path from the door to anywhere I might want to go in my house, as well as emptying the boxes piled on the table.  But we have running water now, and all the appliances normally associated with civilization.  I’ll likely still be heating water for dishes in my roaster for a couple days, but right now that is seeming pretty good.  The kids actually thought bathing in water I heated and carried in was rather fun.

In the meantime, I share a little of our homeschool and my struggles granting my children time over at Heart of the Matter.

Yikes! It seems kids find anything out of the norm fun. Not realizing of course how much more work it is for those who have to haul the water.

My family and I are looking for a house out in the country! I sure hope we can find one.

  3. Hello, for all students (at least high-school and the undergraduates) and others with an interest or enrolled in economics, homeschoolers esp., I have started a blog which will comprise study literature in a more entertaining form than standard textbooks, see
CrisisMaven’s Economics Study Guide. It also contains a Reference List which aspires to eventually become the “one stop shop” for all economic data seriies, history, bibliographies etc.
