Thank you, everyone! We are very happy and just got home this afternoon. There’s no end to the eyes peering over the edge of his bassinet as he sleeps!

I love the name Mattias/Matthias- the latter was actually one of my suggestions for my DS but unfortunately my DH vetoed it.
We actually didn’t talk about spelling until the doctor asked right after delivery.
And we were still discussing middle names while I was in labor. Hubby sat next to me with his laptop giving me suggestions while I tried not to think of contractions too much.

Dana, how lovely! {maternal nostalgic ache} I heard through Julie at Shanan Trail. He’s so beautiful. I can almost smell the new-baby smell.
Speaking of smell…my son keeps leaning over and asking if he can smell him. I think he loves that new baby smell, too!

And Kat, I was having irregular contractions for almost three weeks. In fact, the nurses just watched them for awhile when I arrived for the induction because they thought I might be going into labor on my own, but it just never happened. I sure was ready by then, though!
