I had anticipated missing a day or maybe even two while traveling to Kansas, but not an entire week of posting. But alas, ’tis the season for rushing about and thinking of other things.
Especially when most of your time is absorbed in tremendously huge projects taking up most of your thoughts anyway.
At any rate, we are back safely now. And if you wish, you can read a snippet of our coming home adventures over at my other blog. It involves credit card frustrations and knock knock jokes. How better to spend a four hour drive?

Welcome to Roscommon Acres, my little home in the country. I write here about life more abundantly, from the joy of a baby’s smile to the almost unbearable grief of losing a son. I am seeking beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, a garment of praise instead of the spirit of despair (Isaiah 61:3).

Just place "Tiggy" in the subject line.

Missed ya!
Welcome back!!!
Welcome home! I am glad you survived 4-hours of knock-knock jokes without your brain turning to mush.
Thanks…still waiting to see how much a mushed brain can recover, however. Not sure why the “Now laugh,” instruction at the end of every punch line really started to get to me. After all, she is only three.
Glad you’re back. Now let’s get back to planning in earnest.
And I enjoyed the “practice” jokes. My daughters are telling them now, too. Maybe we can compare someday. Or maybe not. Is it enough to know that you are not alone?
In earnest indeed.
For the record and just so you know how odd at least one of your readers is; upon reading the title of this post I wanted to read about the burglary of your house and how you got your safe back. Leave it to a locksmith to come up with that.
Yea! She’s back.
I was treated to the banana/orange knock-knock joke when I woke up yesterday. Kind of made me want to go back to bed.
Glad you’re home.
I’m glad you got back safe. Isn’t great and awful, all at the same time, when children start to make up their own jokes. I’m just sorry you had to “enjoy” it for 4 hours.
Kristina, you make it sound as if it ended just because we got home.
This morning, I was awoken with:
Knock knock.
Who’s there?
Duck.
Duck who?
Duck…um…um…duck dolphin!
I think you enjoyed your drive well..Really a long and memorable drive for you i think so..I even go for outing like this only..Thanks for sharing..
